Cookies Policy

What we store on your device and why — in plain English.

Last updated: September 8, 2026

Summary

RFIDAK uses no advertising cookies, no retargeting pixels, and no third-party social-media tracking. We use cookieless Vercel Analytics and, after your consent, Google Analytics cookies to measure visits and inquiry actions. Local storage remembers analytics preferences and dismissed prompts; session storage attaches visit context to inquiries you choose to send. You can change Analytics preferences in the footer or clear storage in your browser without losing access to the site.

1. What cookies and similar technologies are

"Cookies" are small text files set by a website on your device. Similar technologies include localStorage, sessionStorage, IndexedDB, and pixels embedded in HTML.

Cookies fall into four common categories:

  • Essential — required for the site to function (security, authentication).
  • Functional — remember your preferences (language, layout, sort order).
  • Analytics — let the site owner understand traffic patterns.
  • Advertising / Marketing — track you across sites for retargeting.

RFIDAK uses none of category 4.

2. What we use on this website

See the Vercel privacy policy for the full data-handling description of Vercel Web Analytics.

3. What we do NOT use

  • Google Ads advertising tags or remarketing pixels.
  • Meta / Facebook Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag, Twitter / X conversion pixel.
  • Hotjar, FullStory, or any session-recording tool.
  • Third-party retargeting / advertising networks.
  • Cross-site fingerprinting libraries.

Google Analytics is optional and starts only after you choose Allow analytics. Declining does not affect inquiries. We send page visits and selected action names, not inquiry text, email addresses or names. Use Analytics preferences in the footer to change your choice; withdrawing consent stops Google Analytics and clears its cookies for this website.

4. How to opt out

Even though no advertising trackers are present, you may want full control over local storage. The standard ways to manage cookies and storage are:

  • Chrome / Edge — Settings → Privacy & security → Cookies and other site data → "See all site data and permissions" → search "rfidak.com" → Remove.
  • Safari — Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data → search "rfidak.com" → Remove.
  • Firefox — Preferences → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data → Manage Data → search "rfidak.com" → Remove.

You can also browse RFIDAK in private / incognito mode — no localStorage is persisted across sessions in that mode.

For Vercel Web Analytics opt-out at the global browser level, use the EFF Privacy Badger extension or any browser-level "Do Not Track" setting (RFIDAK respects DNT signals).

5. Changes to this policy

If we ever introduce new analytics, marketing, or session-recording technology, we will (a) update this Cookies Policy with a new "Last updated" date, (b) add a consent banner where legally required, and (c) flag the change on the homepage for at least 14 days before activation.
