Industrial RFID tags identify an object at a reader checkpoint. Choose the installation and reader protocol together: a textile laundry tag, a mounted metal-asset tag and a tyre transponder need different constructions. Use the product guides below to define attachment, encoded data and a representative sample trial before approving production.

Before choosing a model

Compare the decisions that change the specification.

Start with the object and its complete use cycle. Housing material, chip, antenna, attachment and reader setup all affect the installed result; a material or frequency label alone cannot establish read distance, chemical resistance or service life.

Checks before approving a sample

  • Use mounted sample results to choose an on-metal construction; HF ferrite and UHF spacer or antenna designs are not interchangeable rules.
  • Keep chip identifier, writable project data and visible serial numbers separate. Approve the data field and read-back format with your software.
  • For repeated heat or cleaning, record the full temperature-and-time sequence, chemicals and pressure. A peak temperature alone is not a service-life specification.
  • Record the accepted drawing, chip, attachment and test setup so a later material or chip substitution receives a new review.

Installation before enclosure

Describe the actual surface, available space and attachment method. Metal, liquid, nearby objects and orientation belong in the sample test.

Specify LF, HF or UHF protocol, reader model and the data your software expects. Select each configuration separately.

Evidence for the complete tag

Review model-specific drawings and test conditions. Chip limits and material properties do not establish finished-tag performance.

Include these details

  • Object, surface material, available mounting area and proposed attachment; include a non-sensitive installation photo or drawing.
  • Reader model, protocol, installation region and the required checkpoint or reading zone.
  • Temperature with duration, chemicals, pressure, cleaning and mechanical exposure over the actual process.
  • Identifier format, print-to-chip mapping, sample quantities, production quantity and delivery destination.

Which industrial RFID tag should I sample first?

Start with the object, mounting method and installed reader. A tag for a metal tool, a linen seam and a tyre patch requires a different assembly and acceptance plan. Share the mounting area, reader protocol and complete service conditions, then choose representative configurations from the relevant product guide.

Are all PCB tags on-metal UHF tags?

No. This catalog includes an HF PCB tag for integration projects and a separate UHF PCB family. A PCB describes a construction, not a radio protocol or universal metal compatibility. Confirm the exact chip, antenna, surrounding materials and finished installation before approving either option.

Can I compare laundry tags using a single wash-cycle or temperature number?

Compare the exact model and stated test conditions. The textile model sheets list individual wash, drying, ironing and sterilization conditions; those entries do not establish that one tag completed the same number of combined laundry cycles. Silicone-strip and PPS-button evidence must be reviewed separately. Agree an attachment and process trial for the selected construction.

What determines an industrial tag's read distance?

The finished antenna and chip, reader power and antenna, regional configuration, orientation, object material and surrounding items affect the result. Define the intended read zone and where reads must stop, then test mounted samples. A housing size or RF band alone does not provide an installed-distance guarantee.

Can tags be supplied with our asset numbers?

Confirm the exact chip and writable field first. A project identifier may be stored in suitable memory or mapped to a factory identifier; factory-programmed IDs are not universally rewritable. Approve a sample of the encoded data, printed code and mapping file, including duplicate and read-back checks.

How should I plan samples, MOQ and the production quote?

The standard tags-and-labels planning baseline is 1,000 pieces, subject to confirmation for the selected housing, chip, print and encoding. Tooling or special constructions need their own quote. Confirm representative sample availability and charges under the sample policy, then agree production timing, inspection, freight and delivery terms after specification approval.
