Irregular Card Inlay Types
1Irregular inlay specifications
Frequency 13.56MHz (LF options available). Antenna: coil diameter 10-40 mm or 20-60 mm length/width, adapted to the shape. Thickness 0.50-0.02 mm; COB/MOA4 strip builds 0.35-0.38 mm. Substrate PVC. Process: single-side or double-side avoidance film with high-temperature steel-plate direct pressing. Trimmed reference edges with optional cross marks.
2Designing a non-standard shape
Because the body is smaller than a standard card, the antenna is redesigned to fit the outline while keeping read/write performance, and the layout is planned around where the card will be punched. Send the finished shape, size, chip and target read range, and we will design an antenna and inlay thickness that laminate and die-cut cleanly.

3Shapes we already build — and what they have in common
Mini cards, keyfobs, epoxy tags, zodiac and character shapes: none of them are CR-80, and none of them can use a standard 73×44 mm antenna. Each outline gets its own coil geometry so read performance survives the smaller body.
Coil diameters run 10–40 mm, or 20–60 mm length/width for non-round outlines. Send the finished shape, the chip and the read range you need, and we design the antenna and the inlay thickness around the punch line.
4Keyfob and carabiner formats
The most-ordered irregular formats are epoxy-domed fobs on a carabiner or split ring. They are small, they get carried on keys, and they take more mechanical abuse than any card — so the antenna is placed away from the punch edge and the hole, and the build is pressed flat before die-cutting.

5Thin builds use a COB or MOA4 strip at 0.35–0.38 mm
Small bodies do not have room for a standard 0.50 mm build, so 13.56MHz irregular inlays use a 5×8 mm COB or a MOA4 strip and drop to 0.35–0.38 mm. Single- or double-side avoidance lamination plus high-temperature flat-plate pressing keeps the small format flat.

6Non-ISO layouts on the sheet
Because the finished outline is not a rectangle, the sheet layout is built around the punch rather than around a grid. Trimmed reference edges and optional printed cross marks give the die something to register against.

Buyer Questions
Questions buyers usually ask before sample approval
These FAQs cover the points that usually come up between a first shortlist and a real sample or quote request.
What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ) for Irregular Card Inlay?+
For Irregular Card Inlay, the published MOQ is 1,000+ pieces; samples available. Exact MOQ and unit pricing are quoted per project once chip, customization and packaging are confirmed.
Does RFIDAK provide free samples of Irregular Card Inlay?+
Yes. Stock card inlay samples of Irregular Card Inlay are typically free; we only ask buyers to cover DHL/FedEx express shipping. Samples ship in 1–3 business days after your order is confirmed and arrive in 2–5 days to most countries. Custom samples (new chip, new size, printed artwork) usually take 3–7 additional days.
What is the production lead time for Irregular Card Inlay?+
Published lead time for Irregular Card Inlay is 20–30 business days. The clock starts at PO confirmation and artwork approval, not at your first inquiry. Rush production is available on request for time-sensitive launches; confirm MOQ and artwork early to protect the timeline.
Can Irregular Card Inlay be customized for my brand or project?+
Yes. Irregular Card Inlay supports end-to-end customization: full-color CMYK / silk-screen / UV printing, laser engraving, serial numbering, custom chip encoding (UID write, NDEF, sector locking), custom shape / size (subject to tooling MOQ), and packaging. Share your artwork, chip requirement and quantity and we will return a spec sheet + price within 24 hours.
Is Irregular Card Inlay compatible with my existing reader or system?+
Compatibility depends on the frequency band (LF 125 kHz / HF 13.56 MHz / UHF 860–960 MHz) and chip family used by your reader or installed system. Send a photo of your current card / reader model and we will recommend the matching chip + test a sample before bulk order.
What certifications and quality control does RFIDAK apply to Irregular Card Inlay?+
RFIDAK operates under ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 management systems, certified by Anhui Certification and Inspection Co., Ltd. Irregular Card Inlay is subject to incoming material inspection, in-process QC at every lamination / bonding / encoding step, and 100% electrical performance testing before shipment. Products meet CE, FCC, RoHS and REACH as applicable by market. Full test reports are available on request for buyer audits.
Can Irregular Card Inlay be pre-encoded or printed with my artwork before shipment?+
Yes. Irregular Card Inlay can ship with UID range assignment, NDEF URL encoding (for NFC), sector-locked user data, serial numbering, and CMYK / silk-screen / UV printing of your artwork. Provide an AI/PDF artwork file at 300 dpi with 3 mm bleed and a chip-encoding spec; we return a digital proof for approval before production.
How does RFIDAK ship Irregular Card Inlay internationally?+
RFIDAK ships Irregular Card Inlay via DHL / FedEx / UPS (door-to-door, 3–5 days to most countries), air cargo (5–7 days for heavier orders), or sea freight (20–35 days for bulk over 500 kg). Standard Incoterms are EXW, FOB Shenzhen and DDP; choose based on customs clearance preferences. Commercial invoice, packing list and CoC / MSDS are included automatically.
How does RFIDAK handle repeat orders of Irregular Card Inlay?+
For repeat buyers, RFIDAK locks tooling, artwork and chip encoding on file so subsequent POs ship faster — typically 5–10 business days for stock chip types at previously-run quantities. Price is adjusted transparently per chip market rate and FX movement; we flag any chip shortage (e.g., DESFire EV3) before quotation so the project plan stays realistic.
What are the technical specifications of Irregular Card Inlay?+
Key Irregular Card Inlay specs: frequency 13.56 MHz (LF options available). A full technical datasheet including read range, chip memory map, IP / temperature rating and compliance certificates is available on request; attach your reader model and target environment so we can confirm suitability before quoting.
