Workflow Fit

What job does this product need to do first?

Use the real environment and operator workflow to decide whether this format belongs on the shortlist.

Compatibility

What must it match before you can approve samples?

Reader protocol, printer flow, installation method, or enclosure fit usually matter before bulk buying.

Rollout

Do you need pilot testing, OEM changes, or repeat supply?

Knowing the buying stage early helps narrow the right sample and production path.

Spec Check

Chip-shelter processing and high-temp steel-plate lamination keep sheets flat
Standard antennas 40-60 mm and 47-78 mm; layouts 2-5 to 6-8
Silkscreen layout, brush finishing, edge trimming and printed cross marks
Dry inlay and wet (self-adhesive) inlay formats available

Prelam Inlay Sheet (Standard Prelam) Types

1Prelam sheet specifications

Materials PVC, PC, PET, PETG, PLA, paper. Standard antenna 40-60 mm or 47-78 mm (custom available). Layouts 2-5 (10 per sheet) to 6-8 (48 per sheet). Finishing: silkscreen layout form, brush finishing, edge trimming, printed cross marks and trimmed reference edges. Formats: dry inlay (no adhesive) and wet inlay (self-adhesive).

2Why a tested prelam matters

Hand-laid coils deform, sit unevenly and leave a coil print on the finished card, and hand-soldering exposes the chip to static that shortens its life. RFIDAK's automatic wire implanting places coils evenly with stable gaps for good frequency consistency, and a multi-chip test platform marks any faulty unit before shipment so every sheet the factory receives is ready for direct production.

3From PVC sheet to tested prelam — six stages

Prelam removes the hard part of card making. You collate your printed sheets with the inlay and laminate the sandwich; everything below happened before the pallet reached you.

RFID card inlay production flow: hole punching, antenna wiring, tipping, welding, lamination and 100% QC
Six production stages, five in-process QC gates and a per-batch QA release check. Sampling intervals are fixed by the line standard, not left to the operator.

4Pressed flat, then pressed flat again

Chip-shelter processing and high-temperature steel-plate lamination are what keep a sheet flat. A prelam that arrives with any bow costs you press stoppages and lamination scrap long before it costs you a failed card.

Sheets ship with silkscreen layout, brush finishing, edge trimming and printed cross marks, so your press and punch have registration to work from on arrival.

What goes into the sheet before anything is built - Prelam Inlay Sheet (Standard Prelam) detail

5What goes into the sheet before anything is built

Incoming material control is the cheapest quality gate there is. Substrate identity, density and thickness are verified before a sheet is punched, because a wrong PVC lot does not announce itself until lamination.

ComponentWhat goes inWhy it matters to your line
Hot-melt adhesive filmHeat-activated double-sided copolyamide film (Larsen L8406 / L8408 class)Bonds PVC, ABS, PET and PC bodies and runs on conventional module-bonding equipment, so the same inlay suits several card programmes
Antenna wireEnameled copper wire — stable impedance, uniform diameter, good solderabilityUniform diameter is what keeps resonance repeatable across a sheet; poor wire is the usual cause of scattered read range
ChipReel-packed COB die or MOA4 strip moduleReel feeding allows automatic placement and keeps a traceable lot code against every carton
The bench every sheet has to clear - Prelam Inlay Sheet (Standard Prelam) detail

6The bench every sheet has to clear

Every inlay is electrically tested; the rest of the bench runs on a fixed sampling schedule under ISO 9001:2015.

7Where the prelam sits in the finished card

Standard antennas are 40×60 mm and 47×78 mm; layouts run 2×5 (10 per sheet) to 6×8 (48 per sheet). Dry inlay and wet (self-adhesive) inlay formats are both available from the same core.

Can Prelam Inlay Sheet (Standard Prelam) be customized for my brand or project?+

Yes. Prelam Inlay Sheet (Standard Prelam) supports end-to-end customization: full-color CMYK / silk-screen / UV printing, laser engraving, serial numbering, custom chip encoding (UID write, NDEF, sector locking), custom shape / size (subject to tooling MOQ), and packaging. Share your artwork, chip requirement and quantity and we will return a spec sheet + price within 24 hours.

Is Prelam Inlay Sheet (Standard Prelam) compatible with my existing reader or system?+

Compatibility depends on the frequency band (LF 125 kHz / HF 13.56 MHz / UHF 860–960 MHz) and chip family used by your reader or installed system. Send a photo of your current card / reader model and we will recommend the matching chip + test a sample before bulk order.

What certifications and quality control does RFIDAK apply to Prelam Inlay Sheet (Standard Prelam)?+

RFIDAK operates under ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 management systems, certified by Anhui Certification and Inspection Co., Ltd. How does RFIDAK handle repeat orders of Prelam Inlay Sheet (Standard Prelam)?+

For repeat buyers, RFIDAK locks tooling, artwork and chip encoding on file so subsequent POs ship faster — typically 5–10 business days for stock chip types at previously-run quantities. Price is adjusted transparently per chip market rate and FX movement; we flag any chip shortage (e.g., DESFire EV3) before quotation so the project plan stays realistic.
