LF, HF/NFC and UHF are separate configurations. Confirm the protocol and transaction as well as the frequency.

Protected credentials need a complete system test.

For MIFARE Plus or DESFire, agree the generation, operating mode, issuer and application setup with the integrator. Buying a different chip alone does not upgrade the installed system.

  1. Confirm the specification. Identify the card body, chip, dimensions, surface, print and encoding responsibilities.
  2. Review the physical sample. Check appearance, printer feeding, holder fit and the complete issuance-to-use transaction.
  3. Record acceptance. Approve the artwork and data mapping, including how duplicate or failed records are handled.
  4. Confirm the order terms. Agree quantities by artwork, packing, delivery term, production timing and transport separately.

What are the dimensions and thickness of a PVC RFID card?

The commonly used ID-1 / CR80 footprint is 85.60 × 53.98 mm. Order thickness, corner geometry, surface and any slot separately against a finished drawing. Check your printer and badge holder limits using the actual card stock. A familiar card shape does not establish electronic compatibility with a reader or lock.

How much do printed RFID cards cost, and what is the MOQ?

Price and MOQ depend on chip, card construction, quantity per artwork, printing, variable data, encoding and packing. Provide the sample quantity and planned bulk quantity so these can be quoted separately. Request the currency, delivery term, freight, setup costs and quote validity in writing. A blank-card quantity or price is not automatically the condition for a printed or encoded order.

Does this card work at LF, HF and UHF at the same time?

These are different order configurations. A standard card should not be assumed to support every band. Select the chip and antenna for your reader and required operation. If the project needs more than one technology in one card, request a specific combined construction and test each workflow before approval.

Will the cards work with my hotel lock or access-control system?

Compatibility depends on the exact lock or reader, firmware, issuer software, credential format and provisioning. Share model information and the current working chip if known. A successful UID scan does not prove door access or hotel issuance. The acceptance test should issue a sample through the approved system and verify it at the intended reader or lock.

Which NFC chip should I choose for a phone-tap card?

For an NDEF link or other supported phone interaction, match the chip to the content size and target devices. NXP NTAG213, NTAG215 and NTAG216 provide 144, 504 and 888 bytes of user memory respectively; encoded records also require overhead. Approve the actual payload on the intended phones. A public URL tap is a separate workflow from a protected access credential.

Can the printed number, chip UID and encoded data be the same?

They are distinct fields. NXP NTAG213/215/216 UIDs are set by the manufacturer; a project number can be printed and written to suitable application memory instead. Agree which values should match and which should only be linked in your records. Preserve leading zeros, byte order and numbering rules, and confirm the mapping through read-back before approving the batch.

What should I approve before bulk production?

Approve the card drawing and print proof, then test a representative sample for feeding, appearance, encoding and operation on the actual system. Record the chip, finished stock, data mapping and pass/fail criteria with your approval. Confirm stock or custom-sample availability, charges, freight, any credits and the production schedule under the sample policy and project quotation.

What read distance and environmental limits can you guarantee?

Agree these for the selected chip, antenna and finished card construction. Read distance changes with reader power, antenna, orientation, nearby cards, metal and the installation. State temperature, moisture, cleaning and handling conditions. A chip datasheet or a free-air read result does not by itself establish the service limits of the complete PVC card.
